Upgrading

Upgrade KibanOS

Upgrading is done entirely through the CLI. There is no update option in the dashboard yet.

kiban update

This command downloads the latest version of KibanOS and updates the platform. Your installed services, projects, and configurations are preserved — the update only touches KibanOS itself.

What happens during upgrade

The update command:

• Fetches the latest KibanOS release.
• Replaces the core platform files.
• Restarts the platform with the new version.

Your projects, environments, installed services, and data remain untouched. Only the KibanOS platform layer is updated.

To see which version is currently installed:

kiban version
