Valkey

Valkey is an open-source, BSD-licensed key-value datastore forked from Redis that serves the same protocol, so most clients and commands work without modification. It provides strings, hashes, lists, sets, sorted sets, and streams along with Lua scripting, transactions, pub/sub, replication, Sentinel for failover, and Cluster for automatic partitioning.

Teams use it for caching, sessions, rate limiting, and lightweight message brokering, particularly where a permissively licensed server they can build on matters.

Running it through The service can everything on your own infrastructure under a license that will not change unexpectedly, and there is no per-command or per-seat fee.
