TVHeadend

TVHeadend is a TV streaming and recording server that pulls broadcasts from DVB, ATSC, ISDB, analog or IPTV sources and republishes them as live channels over the network. It includes an electronic program guide, timeshift, recordings with series linking, adaptive streaming profiles and an HTTP interface that common players can open directly.

People use it to replace a set-top box, to record broadcasts for later, or to feed satellite and tuner signals into a home media setup such as Jellyfin or Kodi.

Keeping the tuner and recordings on equipment you own means the feed and the recordings stay private, there is no provider subscription attached to the software, and the configuration and recording directory are simple to back up.
