Sandstorm

An open source platform for running small web apps on a server you control, where each app installs from a market in a few clicks and updates automatically. Every document, chat room or board is a separate sandboxed container called a grain, and one access control layer spans every installed app.

It fits an individual or small team that wants Etherpad documents, Davros storage, Wekan boards or Rocket.Chat chat without assembling separate stacks.

Running it on your own machine keeps those documents off third-party servers, and since each app is just a directory, restoring a workspace is a file copy.
