Navidrome

Navidrome is a music server that streams a local audio collection over the Subsonic and Airsonic APIs, so existing clients and mobile apps connect to it unchanged. It scans and indexes your library, builds smart playlists from tags, transcodes on the fly to match what a device can play, and lets several users keep independent play queues and preferences.

Listeners use it to have their whole collection on a phone or in a browser, and libraries use it to give friends a shared catalogue that does not depend on a commercial streaming service.

Because the server is yours, the collection and listening history never leave your house, there is no subscription to renew, and the database and audio folder back up cleanly.
