Nakama
A game backend server that handles the services every online multiplayer title needs: player accounts, friends and groups, chat, leaderboards, matchmaking and realtime match state exchange. Matches can run relayed or fully server-authoritative, and custom logic is written in Go, TypeScript or Lua and executed as server-side modules and RPCs.
Studios use it to ship social and competitive features for Unity, Godot, Unreal and other engines instead of building them from scratch, and it runs as a cluster that scales by adding nodes.
Self-hosting means player profiles, chat history and progression data live on your own servers, with no per-player pricing from a managed game backend and no forced migration later.
