copyparty

A portable file server that runs from a single Python file and serves uploads, browsing and sharing over the browser. It adds resumable and deduplicated uploads, zip downloads of whole folders, temporary share links, self-destructing uploads, WebDAV, FTP and SFTP access, and a media index that produces thumbnails, tag metadata and playlists.

People use it as an instant drop point on a Raspberry Pi, an old laptop or a NAS, and as a read-write WebDAV share that desktop clients can mount.

Because it is one file with no database service to maintain, It starts quickly and stores data on the disk you choose, so a backup can be as simple as copying that directory.
