Audiobookshelf

Audiobookshelf is a self-hosted server for audiobooks and podcasts with native apps for iOS and Android. It keeps a podcast subscription list that syncs with the phone apps, supports multiple users with independent progress and library permissions, and can extract chapters and convert between audio formats as needed.

Listeners use it to follow a series across devices, to have new episodes delivered on a schedule, and to share a family library without accounts bleeding into one another.

Hosting it yourself means your listening history and library stay on your equipment, the server itself needs no subscription, and a backup of the database and audio folder restores everything exactly where it was.
